Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) is a global non-profit that works with employers to hire refugees and other displaced people, leveraging their professional skills to secure their futures. Jumpstart Refugee Talent (Jumpstart) is a national, refugee-led organization that historically focused on domestic workforce development for refugees. Today, TBB Canada and Jumpstart work collaboratively to help Canadian employers hire refugees with the skills they need to fill vacancies, through the Government of Canada’s Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot. 

With 100 million people forcibly displaced worldwide, and some 1 million job vacancies in Canada right now, TBB & Jumpstart are helping to address Canada’s growing talent shortages in the healthcare, technology, trades & hospitality sectors, as well as to support employers’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Globally, we have witnessed humanitarian crises in Afghanistan, Ukraine & among the Rohingya, in addition to ongoing crises in Syria, Sudan, Eritrea, Pakistan & beyond. As a result, over 100 million people have been forced to flee their homes (UNHCR).  

760+ people have moved with our support, to safety through labour pathways –  additional to the humanitarian resettlement which helps the most vulnerable. Before us is a unique & time-sensitive opportunity to help move 2,000 skilled refugees to Canada. 

As a designated charity partner, we will shine light on this global crisis, while also increasing the representation of delegates from refugee-led & refugee-serving communities.

Your support will be a catalyst for job placements for female, non-binary & LGBTQ+ identifying refugees; for helping rural & remote communities to hire refugees for their job vacancies; and/or to provide emergency funding for refugees and their families to travel to Canada.
