Help Alannah raise money

Hey familia - thanks for supporting me as I do the 40hr Famine!

No matter whether your support is financial or prayer form, it is absolutely appreciated! Here's some quick info - 

I will be doing the 40hr Famine this coming Friday & Saturday, where I will fast for a period of (surprise surprise) 40 hours with only water and half an orange each day.

This event has been on my heart for some time, it's something I have thought about doing for the last several months. The situation that many children and families face in poverty-stricken areas has really been constantly on my mind for a while. It deeply saddens me that this is the reality for thousands of people, including families and children - especially children, who should have full tummies and healthy bodies! So I want to help them. My hope for the future is that I can go overseas and do mission work, which would mean being part of an organisation that works in this kind of sector, whatever or wherever that may be! I feel this is where I am being led, and it is certainly something I am passionate about doing. I think that we often neglect to realise how vast the gap is between these communities and our own. The 40hr Famine is an opportunity to not only raise money and support struggling communities but also to understand the pain and suffering these people endure each day as a result of hunger. 

I would really appreciate prayer during this time, not for myself but prayer especially for those who do not have access to healthy food and water, prayer that God would provide for them & that they would come to understand the God of love and peace during such difficult times in their lives. Also just pray that God would encourage and open opportunities for people to come and witness to these communities despite everything that is happening in the world.

All the money raised will go to World Vision to support their overseas work.
