I Run to Cure CF!
I’ll keep this short and sweet. My niece Natalie is one of about 70,000 people worldwide with the genetic disorder known as Cystic Fibrosis. While the quality and duration of life used to be quite grim for kids with CF, vast improvements have been made over the last few decades thanks to the tireless efforts of the CF Foundation. Their amazing work can only be accomplished, though, through funding, which is where I and hopefully you come in. I will be running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon on May 1st on behalf of Natalie and everyone else with CF. Please help me reach my goal of $500 by donating whatever amount you can so that the quest for a cure for this lifelong affliction can someday be found. Thank you!
Description
Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic disease found in about 30,000 people in the U.S. causing persistent lung infections and limiting the ability to breath over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers --all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.
While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short. By participating in the Pittsburgh Marathon on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I run to help add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with cystic fibrosis today. Please make a difference and support me by donating to my fundraising campaign today!
Then please consider joining the team! For more information - reach out to Jean Schieman - jschieman@cff.org
