My Story…
This year I will be competing in the Pittsburgh Full - Marathon for the the ALZ Stars team in memory of my Dad. My Dad was very physically fit. He ran and worked out on a regular basis. However, in 2011 my family and I received the devastating news…he was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. After a courageous 7 year battle with This terrible disease, we lost him on August 24th, 2017 at the age of 60. He was my biggest supporter for everything I’ve ever done and I know he’ll be with me on race day this year. This foundation obviously has a special place in my heart because they raise funds to help better medication, care, and ultimately find a way to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease all together.
