Help Jaclynn raise money

For participating in 2022 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

My Story…

I am excited to announce that I will be running in the Pittsburgh Marathon in May of 2022 to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research. This is my seventh full marathon, which is why I wanted to RUN FOR AUTISM in honor my students. As a speech therapist, I see firsthand how families are impacted and how much potential these students have in the world. My goal is to raise $600 for autism research. Organization for Autism Research is a 4 star nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of everyone impacted by autism by supporting research that produces meaningful and practical results. The organization directs all research and programs toward enhancing the quality of life for individuals with autism through researching areas such as education, communication, self care, social skill, employment and adult community living. They also provide free, evidence-based resources and information to families, educators, self-advocates, and professionals geared towards making day-to-day life easy for those affected by autism. I would be extremely grateful if you helped me reach my goal and donated to my fundraising efforts. Every bit makes a difference, no matter how big or small.

Description

Please help support me by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance the Organization for Autism Research's great cause!

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 54 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

$10 - provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development sent to general education teachers.
$25 - provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 - provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 - provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 - provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 - provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$40,000 - fully underwrites an applied research pilot study
