My Story…
I am raising money for 412 food rescue. 412 food rescue is located in East Liberty. They work with food retailers all around the city to prevent surplus food from going to waste.
A network of volunteers use an app to help pick up and directly transfers food to nonprofit partners that serve those who are food insecure.
While food rescue is the core element of our work, we do many other things to address food waste and hunger in our region, like creating meals from surplus food, equipping people with better cooking skills, creating innovative products from food waste, and distributing “unsellable” produce in a CSA program.
