My Story…
As you probably know, I was diagnosed with MS in 2010. After various therapies, God has blessed me with renewed health through effective medication and exercise. I keep moving because it simply helps me feel better. I am grateful that my MS is stable, and that I can keep moving with distance running as a charity runner. Exercise has proven to help improve strength and decrease fatigue in people living with Multiple Sclerosis. This is definitely true!
Please consider supporting me in a very NEW race for me, the Pittsburgh Half Marathon (back half). A live event, the "back half" is an exclusive event through the Pittsburgh Marathon, where I will get to run the back half of the full marathon course.
My personal goal is to raise $4000 (reach high!) because I am dedicated to supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a non-profit whose vision is bold, "A world free of MS." For more information, visit https://www.nationalmssociety.org/.
In 2021, I ran 1166 miles. Most were for the fun of it, stress relief, and fresh air. Only a small number were in a race, although my favorite race last year was the (virtual) Pittsburgh Marathon for MS. In the past two years, I have raised over $6K for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Please help me to reach my three-year goal of $10K+ in total fundraising to end MS.
Run and have fun! Finish MS! Finish 13.1!
