My Story…
My goal is to walk half the marathon and enjoy the city while doing so. This after having wanted to run an entire marathon! Most importantly, I want to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause, i.e. the Homeless Children's Education Fund. They do great work by advocating for homeless children and providing the resources to help them advance their education.
Description
Donate to help raise money for Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) during Marathon Weekend. Your donation helps students break the cycle of homelessness through educational achievement. HCEF provides programming for students in kindergarten to age 24. Programming includes afterschool, tutoring support, social and emotional regulation, college and career prep, as well as enrichment, emergency funding and educational grants.
