This is the Team Page created in memory, and to celebrate the legacy of Evan Hansen.

Evan Hansen was a senior linebacker for Wabash College when he took his life at age 21 in September 2018. Hansen was a standout athlete, student, and citizen in the Wabash community and in his hometown Carmel, Indiana. But in the year before his death, Hansen battled depression and began struggling with his schoolwork. His parents, Chuck and Mary Hansen, donated his brain to the VA-BU-CLF Brain Bank after his death, where researchers diagnosed him with Stage 1 (of 4) Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). The Evan R Hansen Legacy Foundation was created in his memory and has raised over $150,000 to support many philanthropic activities.

There are many ways you can help. First, you can join our team and walk with Chuck and Mary at NOON on Saturday May 21st. We will be starting at the Monon North Trailhead (14178 Rohrer Rd, Carmel IN) and traveling down and back to the Union Brewing Company. This is a 5K walk. Secondly, you can join our team, and walk/run anywhere you want (5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon). Thirdly, you can support a walker/runner, and all of your donations will support the Concussion Legacy Foundation. Finally, you can go to Concussion Legacy Foundation, and learn more about all the research and programs that are helping to identify, prevent, and treat brain injuries suffered by athletes and military personnel.
