For the 7th year running, I have joined the “Run for a New Start” team of OCISO, the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization.
I will be attempting to complete my 25th full Marathon (42km) on Sunday May 29, 2022.
These past 2 years, we have all been feeling the impact of COVID-19 on our physical and mental health. For newcomers to Canada, the stress, financial loss, danger and isolation during the pandemic have been overwhelming.
The demand for OCISO’s counselling services has increased significantly. They need support to carry out their critical work with some of the most vulnerable people in our community, including women and youth.
Make a donation to support OCISO’s Counselling Program today and ensure that refugees and immigrants feel welcomed and supported in our city.
