Brigitte was first my Ultimate teammate, then my training partner, a BFF, and became like a sister to me. Ottawa Race Weekend was a favourite event of hers, beginning with our first 10K together at this event in 2007, and running became something that brought Brigitte much joy & peace. Her lung cancer diagnosis was devastating for Brigitte, her family and all of us around her. Whether you would like to join the team for our 5K walk, participate in another event as part of the team, or simply support our efforts to raise funds for Lung Cancer Canada, it is hard to imagine a more fitting way to honour her. As evidenced by the response, Brigitte's indomitable spirit truly does live on in the incredible number of people she has touched, profoundly. We will carry her in our hearts on this walk and forever.
