My Story…
I am proud to again be a member of The Waterboys participating in the 2022 Tamarack Race Weekend. This year we are celebrating the fifth anniversary of The Waterboys being a part of this important event and we are proud to say that we have raised over $ 27,000 in the first four years thanks to your generous support. The Waterboys were established to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of my son Corey who passed away from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2017 at the age of 30. My daughter Sarah, age 32, is currently fighting a valiant battle against cancer and I have also lost my father, brother and sister to this cruel disease. I am a prostate cancer survivor.
Over the years, my family and I have witnessed first hand the incredible advancements in cancer prevention, detection and treatment. We have benefited from the professional, compassionate care provided to cancer patients and their families by amazing health professionals and support workers. We have come a long way since my brother's battle in 1967 to Sarah's fight today, but we still have a long way to go to defeat this terrible foe.
Please help us obliterate this dreadful disease that has devastated so many families.
Donate to help Peter raise money for Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend 2022’s fundraising campaign.
