My Story…
It's been a decade since I was first introduced to the magic of Camp Misquah, and it's the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I worked at Camp Misquah for a total of 4 summers - ranging in roles from lifeguard to senior staff. The feeling of authenticity and pure joy stuck with me and I continued to be involved with the Misquah community for many years after, even roping in the rest of my family to participate!
Ottawa Race Weekend is a really special milestone every year. Our community gathers - campers, family members, volunteers, staff, anyone who has heard about the work that happens up at camp. Everyone rallies together to fundraise and cheer each other on.
And at the end of the day, sweaty and smiling, we know that our fundraising and physical efforts (after all, it is a half marathon!) are worth it to make more memories for our campers.
Description
Camp Misquah is an awesome summer camp for persons with developmental diabilities. Funds this year will help address improvements to our kitchen and dining hall.
