Hello family and friends. I am part of a team raising money for pancreatic cancer research at The Ottawa Hospital - while training for Ottawa Race Weekend on May 28 and 29, 2022. I will be walking the 10K. 

Following is a message from Sindy Hooper, our team captain, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma) on Jan 2, 2013: 

"I'm very fortunate to still be alive today. September 2021 I had a PC metastasis to my lung, surgery to remove it, and 3 rounds of Folfirinox chemotherapy (had to stop due to severe adverse side effects) as a preventive measure to stop any more metastases. 

Now, more than ever, I love life and live each day with gratitude. We are fundraising to find better treatments for pancreatic cancer, to give more people hope of surviving this horrible cancer.
