Hi Friends!
My name is Kat and I have decided to run for the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal in Ottawa’s race weekend.
Over the past weeks many of us have seen the horrors of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The photos and videos of the bombed maternity ward, the millions of women and children fleeing their homeland, and the many lives already lost to this atrocity.
Like many others, I felt at a loss as to how I can help. As a new mom last year, I could not imagine being in the shoes of these Ukraine women, the strength and bravery it would take to do what they are doing is beyond amazing.
That's why I am asking for anyone able to donate to my race weekend to help me reach my goal and assist the Red Cross efforts in Ukraine. Every contribution helps!
