Mon histoire…

This year marks our 4th annual Ottawa CIRCLE Lung Cancer Support Group 2K walk.  In 2019 we had a big group join us from Ottawa, Cornwall, Peterborough and Altanta, Georgia for our first 2K walk as part of the Tamarack Ottawa race weekend (see photo on the Team page).  In 2020 and 2021, the race weekend went virtual but our group still came together to show our solidarity and raise awareness for lung cancer. We were a top fundraising team last year and raised over $30,000 for Lung Cancer Canada.

Lung cancer continues to kill more people every year than any other cancer.   Sadly in late 2021 and early 2022 this included two cherished members of the Ottawa CIRCLE support group - Kimberley Moran Macintosh and Brigitte Lavigne.  Kim was a member of the organizing team for the 2019 walk and Brigitte was a dedicated runner prior to her diagnosis and walked 50K last year to raise money for lung cancer.  This year we will be walking together again at Champlain Park on Sunday, June 19th to raise funds for Lung Cancer Canada to fight this terrible disease.  We would greatly appreciate your support.
