The work of the Board of Directors of Resolve Counselling Services Canada is guided by the Mission of the Agency which is "to provide quality counselling services to significantly improve the social, emotional and economic well being of individuals and families." Our Agency, based in Kingston, Ontario provides many excellent mental health services to clients of various walks of life and needs. This year, with a focus on families, a goal is to raise awareness and much needed funds for our Caring Dads Program. 

 Caring Dads is a group program focused on helping families by supporting Fathers. The Fathers we support are individuals who are at risk of being, or have been, abusive or neglectful towards their children or children’s Mother. Our view is that Fathers love their children and yet some Fathers struggle with showing this love. Therefore, a primary aim of the program is to help Fathers understand how important they are and how they can impact their children in healthy or unhealthy ways.

The program covers many different topics about fathering while linking them back to the three fundamental relationships a Father has:

 (1) his relationship with his children,

(2) his relationship with his children’s mother (whether or not they are in a romantic relationship or are co-parenting), and

(3) his relationship with himself.

 We believe that by supporting Fathers in effective ways, domestic violence is reduced and the quality of life for the family unit is improved and enhanced. Please help Resolve make a difference by supporting our Caring Dads Program.
