My Story…
Hi friends!! I've been diligently (as in I've had no life outside of running, thinking about running or prepping for my runs the last 4 months lol) training for my first full marathon on May 1st and I'll be running for Big Sisters BC! Any support from you to help me support the cause would be so very much appreciated.
Child development is something I've become obsessed with...I mean extremely passionate about.. over the last year. The earliest indicator of an individual's well being, success and positive contribution to society starts in childhood. Their environment, sense of security, level of emotional support are all factors that impact the person they grow into and their potential as a whole.
With all that said, not every child gets the care and support they need in their most critical developmental years. This is where Big Sisters programs come through. Mentor programs are meant to facilitate meaningful relationships for kids in order to cultivate their growth and realize their greatest selves.

Big Sisters knows that every connection counts. With one in ten kids in the Lower Mainland not feeling they have a single adult who cares about them, our programs are vital in creating meaningful relationships for kids who need just one adult to believe in them to ignite their potential. Your donation directly supports our three mentoring programs which support over 850 youth each year. Everyday in a child's life is crucial, they shouldn't have to wait for the help they need to reach their full potential.
