My Story…
As a parent, you have so many hopes and dreams for your kids. When a child develops a disease that is so unpredictable as Schizophrenia and has such a wide spectrum of severity it is a terrifying experience. Organizations like the BC Schizophrenia Society provide programs, resources, research and education to assist families who have found themselves in the midst of chaos.
With education there is hope, and understanding.
Our son developed Schizophrenia around 10 years ago. In that time we have relied on support from family, friends and organizations like the BC Schizophrenia Society. Without that support we would not have made it to a place where he is able to work a full time job.
Help me help others. Help us smash the stigma associated with severe mental illness. Help us find a cure.
