My Story…
Hi Everyone,
It's that time of year again! Charlotte and I are looking forward to participating in the BMO Vancouver Marathon in support of the Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School Bursary Fund. This year, we will be doing an 8K run along the Vancouver Seawall.
For those that don't already know, I have been working for KGMS since 2017. Our school is a special education designated school that serves children from k-12 with diverse needs. We provide a highly specialized program for our students. That being said, the tuition fees associated with such a specialized program come at a high cost, often times out of reach for many of the families that need our support.
The KGMS Bursary fund helps directly subsidize that tuition costs for families who would not otherwise be able to join our school.
Charlotte and I would greatly appreciate your support in reaching our goal of $500.00.
Description
I'm running for Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School! Donate to help me raise money to support K-12 students with learning differences. All funds raised will go towards KGMS Student Financial Aid, and all donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt.
By supporting my run, you are:
- Supporting a healthier family life: KGMS assists and eases the heartache and stress that school struggles bring home. We provide in-school OG tutoring and the support and guidance that many families must seek outside of a traditional school environment.
- Supporting the value of education, inclusion and fairness: your donation will provide equitable access for children who learn differently. By donating, you help us continue to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for our K-12 students.
- Honouring the KGMS teachers, tutors, counsellors and support staff who have made a difference in a child's life, and for the essential work they do every day. You are helping a child understand that they are capable and deserving of a bright future.
