The Boundary Waters is an exceptionally unique place that I have been lucky enough to visit with my family for as long as I can remember. It was one of the places that first led me to fall in love with nature and develop a passion for protecting it. The immaculate wildlife and landscape provide a sense of joy, tranquility, and overall bliss for myself and for all who have the privilege to visit, however, all of this is being threatened. 

I am running my first Twin Cities Marathon this year and am raising money for the Friends of the Boundary Waters to help with preserving, protecting, and restoring the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness not only for us, but for all future generations, as well as for the non-human species that rely on the area.
