Help Elaine raise money

Growing up, I had a love/hate relationship with running. I enjoyed it but found doing more than a three-mile run challenging and frustrating. In the last few years, I've channeled my enjoyment of running into longer distances. This transitioned my love/hate relationship with running into something very positive that not only brings me great joy but also helps keep me sane. One other thing that helps bring me joy (and sanity) is my awesome dog, Charlie. Charlie is a 7-year-old lab mix who rescued us when we got him as a puppy from Ruff Start Rescue.

This fall, I will run the twin cities 10-mile race for Ruff Start Rescue. Ruff Start is a fantastic animal rescue doing excellent work. I am so excited to run on the Ruff Start Rescue team. This is extra-special, not only because Ruff Start Rescue does fantastic work saving animals from all over the country, but also because this rescue helped us find Charlie. Ruff Start Rescue took in Charlie's pregnant mom, a stray; days later, she had 9 puppies. I will be forever grateful to Ruff Start Rescue and the foster who cared for Charlie's mom and her 9 puppies until it was time for them to fly the nest.
