My Story…
Support St Paul-Washington Tech Tennis
USTA Northern is generously matching up to $2,600 ($100 per mile) in funds raised to go towards Washington Tech's Tennis Program. Washington Tech's Athletic Director, Jesse McCann, agreed to run his 5th career 26.2 mile marathon in an effort to raise money for wind screens, upgraded tennis racquets, and player benches for their new tennis courts.
The Eagles Tennis Program is bouncing back with participant numbers after being stifled from the 2020 pandemic. There are over 20 girls participating on the tennis team this fall which doubled its size from 2021. The boys' program is hoping to match that percentage of growth this spring.
Coach Jim Hoard and Coach Kwae Hoo lead with the motto of getting 1% better each day and that hard work pays off. Let's hope that AD McCann is putting in that same work for marathon training, so it pays off come Oct 2nd, 2022. A special thanks to Coach Brad Moening for marathon training guidance.
