After getting pulled into the running thing the past few years (yes, Moco Dojo boys, I'm looking at you) I've been thinking a race back home in Minnesota would be fun, so I'm excited to join the Minneapolis marathon this year. Hopefully i dont get lost.
On a more serious note, I am fortunate to have been spared serious medical issues in life (so far). But looking around I see that so called "rare" diseases are collectively not so rare. And for those affected the burden is no less, if not greater, for the lack of attention they get. So I want to honor the endurance and persistence of those people affected by rare diseases with the best effort I can give in this race.
