My Story…
Dear Friends and Family,
This coming Sunday (October 2) I'm running in the Twin Cities 10 Mile race in an effort to raise money for Rare Disease Renegades (RDR). I am running with my close friend Billy Lester whose son Caffrey was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal and rare genetic disease that renders his muscles unable to recover from activity. DMD starts with the legs, then all limbs, and ultimately impacts the lungs and heart.
There is no cure.
People with Duchenne lose the ability to walk by age 12 and have a lifespan in the mid-20s.
We can’t afford to wait for a cure. Caffrey turned 12 in May and may have lived half his life. With your support, we can accelerate science and cure rare diseases.
Run with me on October 2nd with your financial donation. Together we will help give these children their best shot at a life-saving therapy.
Donate to help Brent raise money for Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend 2022’s fundraising campaign.
