My Story…
Hello Friends!
They always say to do things in life that scare you a little, and it's in that spirit that I signed up to run the full marathon at the 2022 Calgary Marathon on Sunday, May 29, 2022. I love this race series because it always falls around my birthday, and getting outside to run and experience our city is such a wonderful way to celebrate another year of life.
This year, I wanted to not only to ring in my 42nd birthday by running 42 km, but I also wanted to run in honour of some amazing cancer warriors in my life who are currently fighting cancer, and also for those who's cancer journey is complete. That's why this year I'm running in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation, an organization whose purpose is to create more moments for Albertans facing cancer by inspiring our community to give innovation in detection, treatment and care.
My goal is to raise $3000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and help to make life better for Albertans facing cancer. Any donation you are able to make would be so greatly appreciated!
