My Story…
Ten years ago the love of my life was diagnosed with idiopathic generalized refractory epilepsy with tonic clonic seizures after living with them for 20 years prior to diagnosis. He is the toughest guy I know and he inspires me everyday.
I am also very honoured to know other incredible folks living with or affected by epilepsy and have the privilege of talking to them, and working alongside them everyday.
I am walking for all of them and for all those not yet diagnosed. Epilepsy affects 1 in 100 with more than 300,000 people diagnosed in Canada. Epilepsy affects people of all backgrounds, ages, genders.
The Epilepsy Association of Calgary supports the 30,000 people diagnosed with epilepsy in Southern Alberta through education, support, and advocacy. Thank you for helping me support this amazing organization!
