With the support of its volunteers, OMOW enables independent living by providing equitable access to nutritious meals and opportunities for social interaction while ensuring physical and emotional well-being.

Our Vision

Everyone, regardless of age, ability, health, income or living circumstances, lives in an inclusive community where they are well-nourished, safe and connected and are able to live independently with dignity.

Oakville Meals on Wheels has been delivering hot, nutritious meals to Oakville residents for 46 years. The need for our service is even more in demand now than ever before. Oakville Meals on Wheels delivers much more than just a good meal, it opens the door to a social connection and shows those often living alone, that there are people who care about them in their community. It makes a world of difference to those who receive it supporting their health, well-being, improving their quality of life, alleviating food insecurity, and providing peace of mind to their families and caregivers.

Though we are partially funded by agencies such as the United Way, we rely primarily on the community for funding support.  As you are planning your charitable giving options for 2022, please keep your local community in mind. A $10 donation buys a neighbour one meal. For any donations made over $20, a tax receipt will be issued.
