The Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (CDHF) provides expert advice and compassionate support to the millions of Canadians who suffer from digestive disorders. As the charitable foundation of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG), CDHF is uniquely positioned to empower Canadians with evidence-based information, educational resources and real-life patient stories, so they can take charge of their digestive health.
Millions of Canadians are living with digestive diseases. Everyone is affected by digestive ailments throughout their lives, and they can affect people of all ages at any time. While 42% of digestive diseases are preventable and 100% treatable, they are rising – at alarming rates. Digestive health and disease are being recognized with greater importance than ever before. CDHF is committed to reduce suffering and improve quality of life of Canadians by providing trusted, accessible, and accurate information about digestive health and disease, and to advance the science of gastroenterology by funding medical research.
