My Story
I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in June of 2009. I was very forunate that my cancer was loclalized to one section of the prostate, very small in size, and it was not likely to spread. This good fortune continued for over a decade until this past year when the cancer started to grow. I recently underwent a treatment and as a result I won't be able to physically participate in this year's run as I will still be recovering. That said, I ran a 5k on March 21st and posted a decent time for an old man of 31 minutes. The treatment I received is not available to the general public as it is not covered by OHIP. It is my hope that with more research other treatment options will be available to everyone that requires treatment regardless of their economic status. With this in mind, the Cordy Boys will continue their fundraising efforts this year and are asking you to donate whatever you can in support.
