My Story…
WISH Drop-In Centre provides a safe, non-judgmental space for self-identified women and gender diverse folks involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade. Many of the women who use WISH’s services face extreme poverty, homelessness, ongoing impacts of colonization, gender-based violence, racism, discrimination, stigma, and issues related to mental health and substance use. WISH understands that most women resort to street-based sex work as a means of survival, which is why WISH offers such a broad range of services to address the needs of its participants including a drop-in centre, 24/7 emergency shelter, outreach service van, supportive employment program, learning centre, music therapy, and an Indigenous Health and Safety Program. WISH gives street-based sex workers a place to build community while accessing meals, showers, washrooms, clothing, shelter, harm reduction supplies, learning and employment opportunities, and culturally-relevant support.
Your donation will help WISH continue to provide all these services and more!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
