My Story…
I have post polio syndrome since I was an infant. SCI-BC not only help anyone with Spinal Cord injury but also anyone with mobility disability. When I first came to Canada about 25 years ago, I didn't know how to find my first job or which direction my career should go. I participated in a Career out reach program with SCI-BC formerly BC Paraplegic Association. I found my first job with their help and found a directoion for my career.
I slowly progressed in my career through various job opportunities and I earned CGA designation. That little push from SCI BC changed my life. I have a successful accounting practice of my own today and I would like to help change someone else's life. During Panademic, I started attending SCI BC online exercise sessions and have met so many amazing people. Now a days, I attend online wheelchair dance, yoga, book club, parenting group, writer's workshop and games night, all from comfort my home via zoom. SCI BC, once again, enriched my life with these different events and I have made some incredible friends.
