My Story…
I can't even explain how EXCITED I am for this years Charity Challenge.
I've been doing a LOT of thinking about bodies, survivors, moving our bodies, grief, nature and COVID. That's a lot, right!!!
I'm so thrilled we get to move our bodies together this year, in all the beauty and nurturance that nature and the earth will offer us, what an incredible privilege.
I am so deeply aware that for many survivors being in our bodies in times of stress and grief can be so hard and that during COVID and all of the ways we had to keep ourselves safe from COVID required us to self isolate. This also meant living more in isolation and may have moved us more into our heads, I know it did for me. This new phase that we are in with the pandemic still feels so uncertain AND has allowed me to gently move myself back in to my body. I'm so excited to move my body again, move out in the world more again, to be with the sunshine again!
This 5k walk will not only allow us to move together it will also serve as a metaphor of how we can move as a community to show-up for survivors.
Will you join me in supporting survivors? In moving us forward collectively? Anything helps and I deeply appreciate you supporting me to move again.
