My Story…
Hola, amig@s!
If you know me, you know I experience the Forest City by bike, both while commuting and during fitness rides along the TVP.
I'm a volunteering member of London Cycle Link and its Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op (you should go there, BTW <3)
This Spring 2022 I am happy to support St. Joseph’s Health Care London with their mental health care, research and purchases in efforts to improve the quality of life of patients struggling with severe, persistent mental illness. Although I can't pretend to fathom the depths of these folks' struggles, I do know how easy it is to spiral into negative thoughts. It's hard to break out of bad thinking habits. Sometimes our normal becomes feeling angry, sad or worried all the time. That can't be right! Exercise can help us balance out or even replace those less-than-healthy habits and build some that serve us better in their place.
If you're able to:
- make a donation to St. Joseph's and their patients above, while also helping me reach a $300 fundraising goal
- cheer me on as I ride 50K straight on June 5th as my Forest City Cycling Challenge
- get on a bike---road, mountain or upright casual; electric, stationary, reclining or unicycle---and enjoy the flow of a looooong ride (don't forget to invite me :P)
There's a strong correlation between all the happiest times in my life and my cycling regularly, so cheers to that :)
