Help Julianne raise money

For participating in The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Fundraising for Cures!

Hello Friends and Family!

I’m reaching out about a cause that’s very close to me and my son Quint, Team Challenge, an endurance training program which builds community and raises critical funds for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation

After a 3-year hiatus, I’m thrilled to participate in the Falmouth Road Race on August 21, 2022! This will be a big undertaking, but I know I will get across the finish line because of my “why” behind this event.

Seven years ago, Quint was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. During this time, he has endured numerous medical procedures, invasive tests, drug infusions, and weekly injections—yet this didn’t stop the disease from worsening. During the holiday season in late 2018, he underwent major abdominal surgery to remove sections of his diseased intestines. Yet…after all he’s been through, Quint continues to be hopeful that new discoveries and treatments will help him keep him in remission so that he can avoid further unsuccessful medications, emergency hospitalizations, and surgeries.

We are lucky to have found the support of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to get through it all. Our team is comprised of dedicated runners/walkers who are SO committed to making sure the nearly 59,000 New Englanders suffering with IBD have a support community.

The funds raised by me will go towards research, support and education initiatives for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The ultimate goal is to find cures for these diseases. Crohn’s and colitis are collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) and impact nearly 3.1 million Americans. These diseases are painful, chronic, and the best a patient can hope for is remission. We NEED to find CURES, and YOU can help us cross that ultimate finish line...

My fundraising goal is to raise $1,500! I am asking for your support as I raise this money to spread awareness and bring hope to the millions of Americans suffering from Crohn's and colitis. Over 80% of the funds I raise will go towards research programs.

No amount is too small…together we can make a difference! Thank you in advance for your support!

With gratitude,
Julie
