My Story…
I'm honored to be a participant in the 50th running of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race! This day is even more special because I get to help raise funds for the Heart Warrior Foundation. This will be my third year attacking the challenging, always hot, 7 mile course. The HWF was created by the DiFava and Adamson families who were directly affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) in their two children Genevieve and Will. This nonprofit organization has the goal to support, educate, and raise funds and awareness for families affected by CHDs. My cousin's family lost their daughter, Genny, a year ago due to her CHD and she and her family have been a source my motivation on many of my runs - not just the hot summer ones for Falmouth. Finding the joy in little things and hearing our loved ones speak to us while we are moving in nature is one of the reasons running is so important in my life. Please consider donating to my run!
