Help Tricia raise money

2022 will be my 5^th year running  Falmouth's 7mile Road Race to support Cure SMA and my niece Bingo, formerly known as Kate.  

There is no cure for SMA. Imagine being told that in a world where you want to do everything you can to protect your child and keep them safe; but there is no cure, and you have no control.  You go numb, and all you hear is  “THERE IS NO CURE”.  Most would crumble, most would fall to their knees and not get up to pick up the broken pieces.  

My sister, Rachael and brother-in-law, Pat are not most people though, and Bingo is certainly not your typical 4-year-old that will crumble.  Are days hard, long and exhausting, always.  But you also know they are not like any other family you have met. They choose to push the boundaries, and fight every single day because “there is no cure”.  They choose to work alongside many other families who have loved ones living with, and those who have lost their loved ones to SMA.  These families are connected through the research and development that Cure SMA has made.  In the past 5 years just since my first run, there are now multiple treatments for SMA patients, this is due in part from support and donations made by those before us and by you.  

Thank you for all the support and encouragement you’ve given and continue to give me and Cure SMA.  We must persevere because THERE IS NO CURE.
