My Story…
3 Runners and Danny’s Mum is a group of four women - divided by their level of running experience yet united by years of friendship.
United by the desire to raise funds for Tommy’s Place, a Falmouth vacation home for children battling cancer. United by their love of Danny Sheehan. The first child to enter the doors of Tommy’s Place and for whom a room is named at Tommy’s Place. After battling Pineoblastoma, a rare brain cancer, for over 4 years, Danny passed away at the age of 8 in August 2021. And, in so doing, he passed the responsibility of raising awareness of pediatric cancer and funds for the nonprofits dedicated to bettering the lives of those with pediatric cancer to his mum, Natalie, and her beloved friends, Michelle, Julie, and Sonya (true runners who have promised Natalie - a total non-runner - that they will be by her side no matter how slow…unless it gets dark, then she’s on her own…).
We run for those who cannot. We run to raise awareness. We run to raise funds. We run for Danny.

Tommy's Place is OPEN!
"Tommy's Place" is a magical vacation home for kids fighting cancer. The home, located in Falmouth on Cape Cod, is a place to relax, make memories, and most importantly have fun! To ensure privacy, one family at a time will stay in the home for up to a week, free of charge. The house has enough room for the immediate family, extended family, as well as any friends and caregivers that are all part of the support system. For these children and their families, one of the most important aspects of dealing with cancer is having a supportive community. “It takes a village” is especially true when dealing with childhood cancer. "Tommy's Place" is an HGTV Dream Home/Disney like experience with individually designed and decorated rooms, an inground swimming pool, game room, home theatre and tavern, music and arts and crafts rooms and so much more!!!
Since opening in July of 2021 Tommy's Place has served more than 40 families and is fully booked through 2022!
