My Story…
These past three years as a college student, I have been lucky enough to have taken part in the largest student-ran philanthropy in the world known as Penn State THON. Similarly to Tommy's Place, THON raises money to combat childhood cancer through the Four Diamonds Foundation and each organization is paired with affected children and their families. I'm proud to state that our fraternity/sorority pairing raised over $130,000 this past school year towards this cause. Besides this, I was lucky enough to be selected by my peers to be one of the six dancers challenged with standing for the 46 hour no sitting & no sleeping dance marathon that culminates the year's fundraising. Dancing at THON this past February was truly a life changing experience and while staying up for 46 hours straight was tough, it's nothing compared to what children diagnosed with cancer and their families have to go through. As a school we raised a record $13,756,374.50 towards this cause, and it will surely feel different next year not being able to be a part of this incredible philanthropy.
Now that I have graduated from college, I am excited to continue to support children with cancer through Tommy's Place. Tommy's Place provides vacation experiences for kids fighting cancer and their families in Falmouth, MA. These next few months I will be raising money to support Tommy's Place to ensure the non-profit can continue to put smiles on children's faces that need it the most. I will never forget the reaction of one of our THON children when our organization surprised the family with Philadelphia Eagles tickets this past fall.
While my family has not been directly affected by childhood cancer, these past three years have shown me how hard it is even for the strongest people and families to overcome such an awful disease. Like many, I have had close family members and friends devastated by cancer and I keep them right by my side during my fundraising efforts. Joining the Tommy's Place Team this year for the Falmouth Road Race in August has been a blessing in disguise, as I am extremely grateful to be able to give back to a cause that has meant so much to me these past three years!
Your contributions are greatly appreciated by Tommy's Place and the families they serve.
Thank YOU!

Description
Tommy's Place is OPEN!
"Tommy's Place" is a magical vacation home for kids fighting cancer. The home, located in Falmouth on Cape Cod, is a place to relax, make memories, and most importantly have fun! To ensure privacy, one family at a time will stay in the home for up to a week, free of charge. The house has enough room for the immediate family, extended family, as well as any friends and caregivers that are all part of the support system. For these children and their families, one of the most important aspects of dealing with cancer is having a supportive community. “It takes a village” is especially true when dealing with childhood cancer. "Tommy's Place" is an HGTV Dream Home/Disney like experience with individually designed and decorated rooms, an inground swimming pool, game room, home theatre and tavern, music and arts and crafts rooms and so much more!!!
Since opening in July of 2021 Tommy's Place has served more than 40 families and is fully booked through 2022!
Thanks for your help and support we really appreciate it!!
