I will be running the Falmouth Road Race on August 21 on behalf of the Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech. I'm inspired by my friend and fellow OTF member, Lauren D, who has lived with bilateral moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss since she was a toddler. An early intervention with the Clarke Schools helped Lauren access the resources she and her parents needed to navigate potential academic challenges she faced. Lauren was able to reach out to Clarke later in life, when her infant daughter was diagnosed with the same hearing loss as herself.
