Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page…I am so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race again this year! It’s been a few years and quite honestly, I’m a bit nervous...  The past few years have come with so many personal struggles, and the fight back has been really hard.  

As many of you know, the races I have run in the past were to honor my brother Michael and his battle with ALS.  The love and generosity I have received in support of him and others with ALS has been humbling to say the least.  

I sincerely thank you all! 

While I still feel very passionate about CCALS and everything they do, this year I’ve decided to run for Team Genesis Club House, an amazing organization that focuses on helping people with mental health issues and the challenges that come along with it. 

Mental illness and the stigma of having mental health issues is another cause that is very close to my heart.  It has touched my life in profound ways.

This year I will run for my daughter.

Mikayla was an incredible soul who fought like Hell to live this life. She was a beautiful child and the love of my life.  On March 24, 2019, Mikayla lost her battle with drug addiction. For her, the pain of living with mental illness was more than she could take and certainly more than she deserved.  While she was unable to conquer this for herself, I am confident in knowing that with our love and support, others like her will benefit in so many ways.

So, in honor of her and every person living with mental illness, I ask you to join me in supporting Team Genesis.
