My Story…
When Jim was diagnosed back in 2011, we were not surprised; little things like dribbling the basketball (he's a former D1 player), or tapping his fingers to music were the few telltale signs that something was going on. Fortunately, he was able to continue playing ball with our sons, drive them to school, attend their games, visit with family and enjoy life. Fast forward to 2022 and the dial has moved - a lot! Walking, eating, talking...so much has been affected by this disease; we struggle with it daily! We are a team and support each other, every step of the way!
I am running the Falmouth Road Race's 50th Anniversary (Falmouth, MA) to help The Parkinson's Foundation raise money to find a cure. I am hopeful that a cure will help stop PD from advancing for Jim and others. I am also grateful for my family and friends who have supported Jim and I on so many levels!
My sister has always run Falmouth with her family, all four girls in tow. She has been an incredible supporter of Jim and I couldn't sit back and have her do this without throwing my hat into the ring to run with her, and raise money for The Parkinsons Foundation. Maybe there will be a cure soon, but there will always be hope, love and light! Jim is such a blessing to my life and I know to many of yours as well. He is a man of principal, fairness, love, and wine ;) Thank you for supporting me, Jim and The Parkinson's Foundation.
