Help Emily raise money

For participating in The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

I am running for Hospitality Homes because when we needed it, my family and loved ones were very fortunate to live close to some of the top medical facilities in the World (as proudly shown in my 8 year old daughter's poster).

In addition to supporting a valuable organization, this year I am honored to also be able to run on behalf of Jordan, a tough and brave 7-year-old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Over the course of multiple procedures (her latest being this week), Jordan and her family has benefitted from the services of Hospitality Homes.  From Jordan's mom Jennifer:

"We’re so very grateful for your organization and help with reservation and room rate. Last night we enjoyed dinner, the pool, and ice cream in bed. Given the weather in Boston we were so thankful to be able to keep our appointment without having to drive in stormy conditions.

The staff was amazing, we trekked out to grab our vehicle this morning and the (city) sidewalks weren’t clear to the garage. Jordan’s chair couldn’t get through the snow. The hotel staff essentially ran to our rescue and offered to keep an eye on Jordan for a few minutes while I grabbed our van. When I circled back they had a path clear for her chair to get beyond the snow bank. Above and beyond!

Hospitality Homes turned endless medical appointments into a mini-vacation!"

Description

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I'm so proud to be a member of TEAM HOSPITALITY HOMES in this year's Falmouth Road Race!

Your support means the world to me and will help continue to provide housing for patients and families traveling to Boston for critical medical treatment.

With the prohibitively expensive costs of local hotels- averaging $260 per night- and the lack of sufficient hospital- sponsored housing, many patients struggle with what to do, balancing these and other out-of-pocket expenses with the already high cost of responding to a complex or chronic illness.

Your donation is fully tax-deductible, as Hospitality Homes is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
