My Story…
In 2015 we lost my father who was diabetic. At that point my family and I decided to focus promoting an organization that helps provide resources and education on diabetes. We chose Joslin Diabetes Center as our focus to support for the amazing work they do. Participating and raising money while running the Falmouth Road Race is a perfect combination way to show my support for the organization.
Last year when I saw this opportunity to run a race and raise money, I knew this was the perfect race and fundraiser to honor him. This race allows to raise money for an organization that helps provide help to individuals like my dad with diabetes, and it is also just a few days after my Dad's birthday. The race runs along the beautiful coastline right by a lighthouse which was also one of my dad's favorite things. Last year when I ran this race, I truly felt like he will be with me the whole time. I am excited to run again in his memory!
Every day, Joslin Diabetes Center is helping people at all stages of life thrive with diabetes. They combine the latest in research, care and education to improve lives now while accelerating progress toward a future free of this disease and its complications. By supporting Joslin's work, you’re ensuring that every dollar goes directly toward Joslin’s mission to make life better for people with diabetes here and around the world.
