My Story…
“The Quell Foundation strives to reduce the number of suicides, overdoses and the incarceration of people with mental health illness. We work to accomplish this by encouraging people to share their stories, increasing access to mental health services, providing a pipeline of future mental health care professionals with scholarships, and training first responders to recognize mental health crisis warning signs amongst their own.”
Mental health has been a passion of mine for the past several years which was furthered by my work with the Quell Foundation. I decided to major in Psychology at UCLA to better understand mental illness and hopefully incorporate it into my career post graduation. I strongly support the Quell Foundation’s mission and am aware of the stigma that is present when talking about personal experiences with mental illness.
I have worked closely with the Quell Foundation since 2016. I have raised over $11,000 in previous years and spoken at the Quell Foundation's Annual Masquerade Ball about stress on teens.
I am so excited to participate in this year's Falmouth Road Race for the first time since COVID hit. It is truly one of my favorite events of the summer that I look forward to running with my dad all year. I hope with the help of your donations, to continue to support Quell and the strong message they embody.
