Help Colby raise money

I am excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race for the third year in a row (second time in person!) on August 21st for Soccer Without Borders (“SWB”), which is a non-profit that uses soccer as a way to positively impact the lives of newcomer immigrant, refugee, and asylee youth. 

As most of you know, soccer has always been a huge part of my life. I will always be grateful for the opportunities and experiences that were provided to me through soccer.

When I moved to Boston after college, I knew I wanted to get involved in the community and coach to try and give back to the sport that gave so much to me. I was connected to SWB Boston which runs programming for underserved youth in the East Boston area and have had the awesome opportunity to help coach for three seasons.

SWB’s efforts help break down the economic barriers to being part of organized sports by providing high-quality programming, free of cost to participants.  SWB participants gain access to experiences and opportunities they otherwise would not benefit from, including educational support, team-building activities, civic engagement, and cultural exchange. SWB provides the equipment, coaching and transportation to help participants develop their soccer skills and participate in practices and games. Additionally, SWB provides academic and language support alongside the soccer programming.
