My Story…
Hello everyone! I will be running my 4th Falmouth Road Race on August 21st, 2022 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. Although every year running and being chosen for Team JAF is special this year has an even more special meaning to me (even more than being an in-person race because of Covid 😂). As most of you know I have been battling colorectal cancer for the last 7 years however in 2021 it would progress to stage 4 metastatic disease. Despite the life changing news, I feel wonderful and am just focusing on living life each day. I truly believe the day you stop living life and taking advantage of the life you have been given is the day you start losing the battle. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation has become such a huge and important part of my life despite the circumstances on why they came into my life. Joe and Jen Andruzzi and the staff of the foundation have become great friends/family and some of my biggest supporters while I battle cancer. The foundation helps cancer patients in such a great time of need. I am forever indebted to them for their friendship, love and support. I will be lacing up my sneakers and running the 7 miles with my crew…my sister, and two of my good friends who continue to support me day in and day out. I will be running in honor of all cancer patients who are fighting the fight every day just like myself. Their strength and courage will inspire me to keep going during the 7 miles. Please consider donating to such a wonderful foundation 💙
