My Story…
Hello, friends and family!
This is my 4th year running the Falmouth 7-miler for The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF), the only organization in the world dedicated to finding treatments and the cure for Progeria and its aging-related conditions, including heart disease. Progeria is an ultra-rare, fatal, rapid-aging disease. Without treatment, children with Progeria die of heart attack or stroke at an average age of just 14.5 years.
PRF co-led and funded the 13 years of clinical trials that recently brought us to our first-ever FDA approval, and continues to fund transformational research toward even better treatments and the cure, in the areas of gene therapy, RNA therapeutics, and other small molecule therapies (read more on the latest gene therapy research here: https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/31/health/reversing-genetic-fate-scn-wellness/index.html).
I'm deeply inspired by the children and young adults we serve, and any funds raised will go directly toward advancing the breakthrough research in the most revolutionary areas of science.
Please help me reach my goal of $1,000 to get us closer to the cure - faster.
Donate to help Eleanor raise money for The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
