My Story…
Hello family & friends,
I'm running Falmouth again for the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation. GDMF helps current and former Special Ops professionals transition from military to civilian life. The foundation has just hit 100 scholarships in its 10 years (!!!), and you can learn more about some of these impressive individuals here: https://www.glendohertyfoundation.org/gdmf-scholars
But who was Glen? Glen was 1 of 4 Americans killed in a terror attack against the US Consulate in Behghazi, Libya on 9/12/12. As you may recall, the attack began on 9/11, but Glen and the handful of others he was with fought throughout the night. He died as he served - protecting the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. I didn't know Glen but have "met" him through one of his lifelong friends. He was funny, hard-working, adventurous, warm, and loyal. Glen's life was filled with family and friends, those he considered his "whole life."
Please help me support this worthy foundation. Even the smallest of donations have impact. I'll be clinging to your generosity & Glen's fortitude as I run the 7 miles.
Thank you.
