My Story…
Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, I am one of the Regional Teen Directors for YGB, and I have been part of the Y movement for 10+ years. I grew up going to the Wang YMCA of Chinatown: working out, making friends and being part of a tight-knit community. Over the years, I've gone through the ranks of being a member, a volunteer, a part-time staff, and now, a full-time staff of 3+ years fully supporting the teen departments for the Dorchester YMCA, Huntington Ave. YMCA, and Wang YMCA of Chinatown.
One of the reasons why I run for Y - ACHIEVERS is because I have an opportunity to give back to our Boston youths whether it's through free memberships, Signature programs that target young people to explore different career paths and colleges, to develop leadership skills, or to be civically engaged, or a caring adult - just like how there were caring adults during my time to help my personal growth.
I appreciate all the support for Y - ACHIEVERS, and I am super stoked to run the 2022 Falmouth Road Race.
